Geoscience Job Boards

There are many resources for job seekers to search for geoscience positions across sectors. The list of job boards below is not comprehensive but includes many of the most popular job posting sites and resources by professional societies. Remember that not all jobs are posted to job boards, especially in the industrial sector, so you should also leverage your network to find employers who are hiring.

Before beginning your job search, it is important to identify key words that will yield the best search results. One tip is to start by using your skills or interests as search criteria (for example, "GIS" or "remote sensing") instead of job titles, since different sectors and employers may use different job titles for similar positions. Once you've identified job titles that are interesting to you, try searching variations (for example, "GIS technician" and "spatial analyst"). You can find a list of suggested key word searches at the bottom of this page.
